About Stardust to Penny Lane: A Celebration of the Popular Trumpet
Throughout rehearsals and the concert, Jay was a pleasure to work with.  His amiable manner and wonderful musicianship was evident throughout the entire preparation process. The concert was made even more enjoyable by Jay’s easygoing audience manner and his ability to understand and give the audience what they deserve. A wonderful sense of humor coupled with excellent musicianship. Jay's ability to replicate the trumpet stylings of Bix Beiderbecke, Herb Alpert, Harry James and others is wonderful.  He is a true professional!

About Jay's Musicianship
Jay is a great lead player and one of the most consistent players I've known. He's so easy to play with because you can always count on him laying it right down! He's equally comfortable playing classical music ...  And his show playing is EXTREMELY great.
Trent Austin, trumpet artist, educator/clinician, Kansas City, MO

"I can’t thank you enough for bringing "New England Brass Plays Gershwin" to  the Standing Room Only series. You’re a star, the players were magnificent--each one more suave, entertaining and virtuosic than the next, and the whole  thing was a miracle. People could barely stay in their seats. Just terrific...
